Brew Ha-Ha event returns to Nugget this weekend
Brew HaHa is back for 2022, with tons of bites, beers, and fun. Taking place at the Grand Ballroom at the Nugget Casino Resort this January 29 from 8-11 p.m., over 100 beers will be on tap for this 21+ event.
This 26th edition of Brew HaHa is the Sierra Arts Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Thirty-three artists will be selling their work in the Brew HaHa Artist Village, selling everything from pottery to woodwork, jewelry, prints, sculptures, stickers, clothing and paintings. The Sierra Arts Foundation was established in 1971 to provide educational opportunities for artists of all ages and support them with marketing, development, and financial aid when available. The Sierra Arts Foundation awards four grants a year in the amount of $3,000 per play to artists in the performing, literary, visual, and student sectors. This year, Sundance Books and Music contributed to the literary scholarship. SAF will announce all of this year’s Brew HaHa grant winners.
Record Street Brewing Co. will provide beer samples. Its signature beers include Devil’s Haircut Dark Ale (which pairs well with Texas Beef Chili); the Soundwaves Hazy IPA – a hazy, cloudy lager that is pleasant and smooth on the palate; High Rollers lager – a malty beer that pairs well with lemongrass chicken sliders; and the Malt Rose lager which is most enjoyable after a day on the slopes.
Local Sparks brands, including Lead Dog Brewing, Great Basin Brewing Co. and Revision, will also be offering libations.
The cost is $65 for a general admission ticket or $85 for the VIP package which includes early access with appetizers and gourmet beer and wine pairing with local brewers. Reservations are recommended, wearing a face mask is mandatory when not eating or drinking, and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event area. The Nugget also offers a special rate of $59 to $69 (use code BREWHA) so you don’t have to worry about driving.
