Caesars Atlantic City undergoes a $200 million makeover
For Caesars Atlantic City guests patiently awaiting the East Coast debut of Hell’s Kitchenthe big day is coming soon.
However, based on a press release issued Tuesday by the parent company Entertainment Caesarsfamous chef’s popular restaurant concept Gordon Ramsay is a small part of a $200 million resort transformation.
Along with previously announced hotel room upgrades and new dining experiences, expect dramatic upgrades to its valet, hotel lobby, and casino floor, as well as a upgraded outdoor pool.
Of course, these plans are part of Caesars Entertainment’s previously announced $400 million investment in the Atlantic City market by 2023.
Sister properties Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana Atlantic City also benefit from significant improvements.
43 years later, Caesars Atlantic City remains an “iconic destination”
June 26 will mark the 43rd anniversary since Caesars Atlantic City welcomed its first guests. Only Atlantic City Resorts (May 26, 1978) is older.
And over time, properties need more than new slots or new coats of paint. The Caesars AC team is thinking much bigger.
There will be Nobu Atlantic Citya restaurant and distinct hotel experience in one of the existing hotel towers.
Additionally, more than 750 hotel rooms and suites in the Centurion and Ocean towers of Caesars have been recently renovated.
John KosterRegional President of the East Division of Caesars Entertainment, said, “We are thrilled to continue this legacy by reimagining ownership from the moment guests walk through the doors.
“This major investment demonstrates our continued commitment to improving guest experiences at our resorts as well as advancing Atlantic City’s tourism economy,” said Koster.
Joe LodiseSenior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars Atlantic City, calls Caesars AC “an iconic destination on the Atlantic City Boardwalk and critical to market success over the years.”
“The resort’s transformation to Caesars Atlantic City will further the property’s evolution as one of the nation’s premier travel destinations here on the East Coast, bringing the best of Las Vegas right here to the center of the action at Atlantic City,” Lodise said.
Greet Guests Properly at Caesars Atlantic City
With nine Atlantic City casinos to choose from, first impressions are key. Properties, especially older ones, need a warm and welcoming feeling of arrival.
As players walk through the valet entrance, the ground floor of the casino is straight ahead while Morton’s Steakhouse is on the side. The hotel lobby, including the VIP check-in area, is at the top of the escalator.
Unfortunately, Caesar and Cleopatra aren’t there to greet guests (word is they’re extremely busy with those Caesars Sportsbook engagements with the Mannings).
Instead, the planned upgrades “will pave the way for an unparalleled resort experience that will transport guests to new levels of sophistication and accessible luxury.”
Caesars did not share specific details about what the valet and hotel lobby redesign will look like when complete. For now, it is described as an “elegant and welcoming sense of arrival for guests”.
As a bonus, the redesigned first-floor lobby will also feature an all-new Starbucks (see below) offering mobile ordering. The store will be outfitted with a sleek, contemporary design with minimal decor for a bright and fresh look.
The pool terrace transforms in the summer
Some Caesars AC hotel guests prefer to spend hot summer days by the pool rather than the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
Well, just in time for the peak summer season, Caesars presents a revamped pool experience offering “stunning beach and ocean views from the rooftop of Qua Bains & Spa.
A new rooftop pool is not included. However, there will be two levels of seating with modern daybeds, daybeds and cabanas.
In addition, the bar will overlook the beach and the promenade.

Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Status Check
Of course, there’s still plenty of buzz around Gordon Ramsay expanding his dining options in Atlantic City.
There are Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill located a few steps from the Caesars AC check-in counter. And Steak Gordon Ramsay is open at Harrah’s.
However, Hell’s Kitchen is the concept linked to the popular Fox reality show.
The restaurant is set to debut this summer (no specific date yet). All we know is that on a recent visit the construction walls were still in place.

The menu is said to include Chef Ramsay’s classics like Beef Wellington, Hell’s Kitchen Burger and Lobster Risotto.
Nobu Atlantic City is touted as a ‘game changer’
Players who regularly visit Caesars Palace Las Vegas may be familiar with the Nobu concept.
Caesars Atlantic City gets its own Nobu restaurant and hotel. In terms of dining, think high-end Japanese cuisine. The menu will include an extensive range of branded whiskey and sake and wine.
The hotel portion of the project will occupy the top three floors of Caesars Centurion Tower. Expect to see revamped rooms and suites with Japanese-inspired decor mixed with sleek, modern touches.
As for the opening date of the Nobu restaurant and hotel, Caesars is currently suggesting “later this year”.
However, upon completion, Caesars touts Nobu Atlantic City as a “game changer in the Atlantic City market”.
Other Caesars Entertainment AC 2022 Events
PlayNJ continues to closely monitor all the upgrades and new gear happening around Atlantic City.
As mentioned earlier, Caesars Entertainment is extending this TLC to Tropicana and Harrah’s.
If you’re wondering about new dining and entertainment options, the Trop will launch eight new concepts throughout the year. So far, Wild Honey Smokehouse and Tavern is open.
At some point this summer, Bobby’s burgers from the famous chef Bobby Flay will open at Harrah’s
