The D reported that the slots player hit over a $1.4 million jackpot on Wednesday, May 4. The person chose not to release their name. But The D told the winner on Twitter: “Enjoy this huge win!”

The lucky player won $1,437,768.17. The D Hotel and Casino posted a video on social media showing the slot machine and the total winnings. He did not show the player.

In order to hit the jackpot, the three-diamond wheel of fortune symbols had to line up, KLASa local television station, reported.

It was unclear how much money the player had inserted into the slot before the jackpot. But the player may have bet $5 per spin, KLAS mentioned.

The casino video showed how the slot machine instructed the winner to “call an attendant” in order to collect payment.

Located on Fremont Street, The D offers modern and vintage slots in its two-story gaming floors. The D is owned by brothers Derek and Greg Stevens.

Recent payments

Las Vegas and other places have recently seen several slot machines paying out big jackpots to lucky players.

For example, in March, a California traveler won $328,655 playing a slot machine at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

The visitor has been identified as William J. de Van Nuys. He chose not to reveal his last name.

He was apparently at the airport, waiting for or exiting a flight. He decided to play a Wheel of Fortune slot machine in Concourse B. The airport did not specify the cost of the spin.

Meanwhile, across the country at Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Connecticut, another lucky player won $3.8 million on April 4.

This lucky player also chose not to reveal his name.

Two big Vegas winners in March

Wheel of Fortune, made by IGT, claims its popular title made two more gamers millionaires in March. A Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold terminal at the Bellagio in Las Vegas cost $1.48 million.

Also, a Triple Red Hot 7 wheel of fortune reached over $1.31 million at the California Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas.
