Governor Abbott Announces 2022 Governor’s Small Business Series | Texas Governor’s Office

April 26, 2022 | Austin, TX | Press release

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the kickoff of the 2022 Governor’s Small Business Series to be held in person in communities across the state, beginning in El Paso on May 5, 2022. The annual series Governor’s Small Business Center connects small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with the resources and information needed to start, build and grow a business.

“Small businesses are the engine of our state’s thriving economy,” Governor Abbott said. “Already home to three million small businesses that employ nearly half of Texas’ workforce, our state is focused on nurturing an environment in which entrepreneurs have the freedom to aspire, grow and thrive. Men and women willing to take risks, dig deep into their own pockets, and stake their future on an idea have long written Texas history. That pioneering spirit still fuels our shared prosperity today. J I look forward to continuing to work with small businesses and communities in every region of the state to ensure they have the tools to succeed. It is especially meaningful to launch the 2022 Governor’s Small Business Series in El Paso and as we celebrate Small Business Week.

Kicking off the Governor’s Small Business Series in El Paso on May 5, co-hosted by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of El Paso and the Labor Commission of Texas, offers small business owners and entrepreneurs in Texas the opportunity to network with other business owners and meet experts who can share timely, relevant and actionable advice on a multitude of small business topics.
