Marriott International Hotels & Resorts in Fiji officially launched the Marriott International Fiji Training Academy at the Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa this week.
A statement from the group said it had embarked on an exciting journey through a partnership between the Marriott International Fiji Training Academy and the Land Unit (LOU) with the successful admission of 40 applicants.
He said that through this partnership, the team of qualified and experienced trainers at the Sheraton & Westin Resort in Denarau would train selected participants in four key disciplines, namely front office operations, housekeeping operations, operations catering and kitchen operations.
The six-week intensive training will guide participants through comprehensive Marriott International branded service culture modules incorporating safe operations against COVID, as mandated by Clean Matters and Marriott Commitment to Clean to ensure safe hotel operations.

“Once completed, participants will obtain certificates based on a credit system and have a greater advantage to be part of the industry.
